The industrial circular economy is at the heart of forward-looking production approaches. As part of the RETHINK project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, ITQ GmbH, Software Factory and iwbTUM, Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management at the Technical University of Munich, have been researching ideas for the introduction of the circular economy over the past three years. The Lorenz company, a manufacturer of water meters, was involved as a practical partner. The RETHINK project aimed to integrate remanufacturing into existing production systems.
On October 24, 2023, Lorenz invites to the Factory Tour in Schelklingen. Interested visitors can learn about Industry 4.0 technologies, such as the digital twin, as well as process efficiency and resource conservation.
