On Friday 27 June 2025, automatica  the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics will become a platform for young technology enthusiasts and forward-thinking talent. In collaboration with Messe München and the Gerda Stetter Foundation – Technik macht Spaß! , ITQ GmbH is offering a varied programme for (vocational) school pupils and students.

Interactive technology workshops will allow young people aged 10 to 21 to explore the world of robotics, programming and automation in a fun way. Activities include programming LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots, the little blue robot KARL, the TI Innovator Rover, and designing a virtual Minecraft future city in collaboration with the Fraunhofer IAO . Here, technology becomes an experience. Topics such as sustainable energy and open-source demonstrators from the EU-funded EDUDEMOS project will also be covered.

The automatica MAKEATHON gives students the chance to get down to business: In just a few hours, teams from Augsburg University of Applied Sciences will develop practical prototypes and creative solutions to real-life tasks, with support from experienced ITQ professors and engineers.

Participation in the STEM activities is free of charge. Interested pupils, professors and teachers from educational institutions can register with ITQ GmbH at marketing@itq.de.
