The ITQ GmbH organised in collaboration with the Munich Trade Fair Centre Supporting young talent at the international electronics trade fair electronica, which will take place in Munich from 10 to 13 November 2026. Whilst many companies use the trade fair to showcase their latest products and technologies, ITQ GmbH is taking a different approach: the software engineering firm is making targeted use of this international industry platform to inspire young people to take an interest in technology and to foster direct dialogue between up-and-coming talent and industry.
On Thursday 12 November and Friday 13 November 2026, around 30 students will be putting their theoretical knowledge directly into practice during a two-day MAKEATHON in Hall A5.160. Modelled entirely on the successful international SMART GREEN ISLAND MAKEATHONS Working in interdisciplinary teams, they tackle real-world challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, electronics and sustainability. Over the course of two days, the students work together to develop innovative solutions and initial prototypes.
In addition, ITQ GmbH is offering interactive technology and programming workshops on Friday for secondary school pupils aged 13 and over. The aim is to give young people early access to future technologies, to encourage companies to support the next generation of talent, and thereby to fulfil a social responsibility towards the skilled workers of tomorrow.
The MAKEATHON format has become established internationally over the past 10 years. To mark this anniversary, ITQ GmbH, in collaboration with Messe München, is organising the event „MAKEATHON & Friends – 10 Years’ on Thursday 12 November 2026.
“A Future’.
