SPIKE

Innovative AI pipelines

At the heart of the research project SPIKe (Smart process, product and service innovation through AI pipelines for established companies) focuses on the sustainable development of intelligent demonstrators using AI pipelines for manufacturing companies. Furthermore, a reference model for AI pipelines is to be designed and iteratively refined to support their development, with the aim of ensuring technically sound development and easy transferability to other use cases.

ITQ GmbH is designing a complex, multidisciplinary system and is contributing its expertise in AI-based process optimisation, the development of data pipelines in production environments, and the simulation-driven development of mechatronic systems to the project.

The Business Informatics department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT) is involved in the research component. The industry partners are Rational Technical Services and WashTec Cleaning Technology.
