AI-controlled robot cell – The intelligent learning platform
The AI Robot Cell Demonstrator training project showcases the latest technological standards in the field of AI-driven automation and robot control. The aim of the project was to integrate five different robots into a single cell and enable them to be controlled using natural language and artificial intelligence. To this end, existing ITQ demonstrators were further developed and combined with a central voice control system.
The demonstrator brings together several robot cells – including a sowing and tending station with a moisture sensor and gripper, as well as an integrated ice-making machine, a ‘Plant on Demand’ demonstrator, a drawing demonstrator and a candy demonstrator, all located in different places – under a single central control unit. All processes are consolidated on the ITQ Industry 4.0 POWERWALL, which features six screens, giving the user a complete overview of all the robotic cells.
Using voice commands or AI-assisted input, individual robots can be instructed to carry out tasks such as planting seedlings, measuring soil moisture or making ice cream fully automatically.

Control is via voice commands or AI-assisted input: users can assign tasks such as planting seedlings, measuring soil moisture or making ice cream to individual robots in a fully automated manner.
