Collaboration with universities and higher education institutions in Germany is a central focus for ITQ GmbH<\/strong>. We are pleased to have hosted five students from the Technical University of Munich (TUM)<\/strong><\/a> at our headquarters in Garching for a week as part of the “1000-Plus-Project 2025.”<\/a><\/strong> The students, from the fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Communications Engineering, and Computational Mechanics, gained valuable insights into the daily life of an engineer at ITQ GmbH from January 13-17, 2025.<\/p>\n

During the week, the students focused on the critical topic of “Cyber Security in Mechatronics.”<\/strong><\/a> The main focus was on the impact of new EU regulations like NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act on software development in mechatronics<\/strong>. The increasing complexity of interconnected systems and rising cyber threats highlight the importance of placing secure processes at the core of development.<\/p>\n

The goal of the week: To design a development model that places “Secure-by-Design” and “Secure-by-Default”<\/strong> at its center, addressing the growing demands of cybersecurity. With guidance and support from our consultants, the five students developed the topic and created a result poster. This poster serves as their entry to the final event of the “1000-Plus-Project.”<\/strong> On April 30, all project participants will present their posters to company representatives and a panel from TUM.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank TUM for this fantastic project and the opportunity to prepare over 1,000 young talents<\/strong> for their future careers. Our thanks also go to the five students for their excellent motivation and impressive performance during this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>
