To get young people interested in STEM professions<\/strong>, the SPS Makeathon<\/strong> will take place at the international<\/strong> automation trade fair SPS in Nuremberg<\/strong> from November 12th to 14th, 2024. <\/strong>Organized by ITQ GmbH<\/strong> as part of the Young Talents Days<\/strong>, the Makeathon offers a platform for students and vocational school pupils<\/strong> with a passion for technology to register for half-day workshops.<\/p>\n

In the Makeathon area, between Halls 1 and 3C<\/strong>, 2.5-hour workshops<\/strong> are offered daily in the mornings and afternoons<\/strong>. In interdisciplinary teams, the participants develop innovative ideas and implement initial prototypes. A total of up to 180 places<\/strong> are available, which are allocated on a “first come, first served basis.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Six well-known industrial companies \u2013 Baum\u00fcller N\u00fcrnberg<\/a>, Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG<\/a>, Murrelektronik GmbH<\/a>, Pepperl+Fuchs SE<\/a>, SEW-EURODRIVE GmbH & Co. KG<\/a> und Sick Vertriebs GmbH<\/a> \u2013 provide tasks for the workshops and thus enable a direct exchange between participants and industry<\/strong>. Dr. Rainer Stetter from ITQ GmbH<\/strong> describes the event as an innovative recruiting platform: \u201cThe SPS Makeathon offers young talents the opportunity to get creative at a high technological level, while companies can present themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>
